Welcome to Kitchens By Remote. I’m Steve Eisenmenger, and I’ve been in the kitchen business for 30 years. In all that time, I’ve never sold a customer’s information, and I’m not starting now. This privacy policy explains exactly what information I collect, why I need it, and how I protect it. No legal mumbo-jumbo, just straight talk.

2. What Information I Collect

When You Contact Me:

• Your name (so I know what to call you)
• Email address (to send you quotes and answer questions)
• Phone number (if you want me to call you back)
• Kitchen measurements (to design your space)
• Design preferences (so I recommend the right cabinets)
• Shipping address (to calculate delivery costs)
• Billing address (for orders)

Automatically Collected (The Technical Stuff):

• Your IP address (like a digital return address)
• What browser you use (so the site works properly)
• Which pages you visit (to improve the site)
• How you found me (Google, referral, etc.)

What I DON’T Collect:

• Social media profiles
• Tracking pixels from Meta/Facebook
• Google Analytics data
• Third-party cookies
• Your browsing history on other sites

3. How I Use Your Information

I only use your information to help you get the kitchen you want:

• Process your orders: Can’t ship cabinets without an address
• Answer your questions: When you email, I need to reply
• Send quotes: You asked for them, I send them
• Design consultations: Your measurements help me plan your kitchen
• Order updates: You should know when your cabinets ship
• Occasional updates: Only if you explicitly opt-in (and you can opt-out anytime)

4. Who I Share Your Information With

I share your information only when absolutely necessary to serve you:

Cabinet Manufacturers: DL Cabinetry needs your address to ship your order. They get only what’s needed for delivery.

Shipping Companies: UPS/freight carriers need your address. That’s it.

Payment Processor: Strike handles payments securely. I never see your full payment details.

Legal Requirements: If a court orders it, I have to comply. (This has never happened in 30 years.)

Who I NEVER Share With:

• Marketing companies
• Data brokers
• Social media platforms
• Google or Meta/Facebook
• Anyone who wants to sell you something

5. Your Privacy Rights

You have complete control over your information:

You Can Always:

• See what I have: Email me, I’ll send everything
• Fix mistakes: Wrong address? Let me know
• Delete everything: Want me to forget you? Done
• Stop emails: Every email has an unsubscribe link
• Get a copy: Want your data? I’ll send it
• Ask questions: Not clear on something? Call me

For California Residents (CCPA/CPRA):
You have extra rights under California law. I respect them all. Email me with “California Privacy Rights” in the subject.

For Canadian Residents (PIPEDA):
Canadian privacy laws apply to you. I comply fully. You can also contact the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

For Everyone Else:
I treat everyone’s data with the same respect, regardless of where you live.

6. How Long I Keep Your Information

I’m not a data hoarder:

• Active customers: I keep your info while we’re working together
• Order records: 7 years (tax law requires this)
• Email subscribers: Until you unsubscribe
• Inquiries that don’t buy: Deleted after 1 year
• Payment info: I don’t store it (Strike handles this)

7. How I Protect Your Information

I take security seriously:

• SSL encryption: Your data is scrambled in transit
• Secure servers: Professional hosting with security measures
• Limited access: Only I see your information
• Strong passwords: No “password123” here
• Regular updates: Security patches applied promptly

That said, no system is 100% perfect. I do my best, but I can’t guarantee absolute security (nobody can, despite what they claim).

8. Cookies (The Digital Kind)

My website uses minimal cookies:

• Essential cookies: Make the shopping cart work
• No tracking cookies: I don’t follow you around the internet
• No advertising cookies: No retargeting nonsense
• No social media cookies: Facebook doesn’t need to know you’re shopping for cabinets

You can disable cookies in your browser, but the shopping cart might not work properly.

9. Children’s Privacy

Kitchen cabinets aren’t for kids. My website is for adults (18+) only. If I accidentally collect information from someone under 18, let me know and I’ll delete it immediately.

10. Strike Payment Processing

I use Strike for payment processing because:

• Lower fees mean better prices for you
• They don’t sell your data
• Secure, instant processing
• No traditional banking surveillance

Strike has their own privacy policy. I chose them because they respect privacy too.

11. Do Not Track

My website doesn’t track you, so “Do Not Track” signals are kind of redundant. But yes, I respect them.

12. Third-Party Links

Sometimes I link to manufacturer sites or shipping companies. Once you leave my site, their privacy policies apply. I choose partners carefully, but I can’t control what they do.

13. Changes to This Policy

If I change this policy, I’ll post the updates here and email active customers. I won’t make sneaky changes – any updates will be clearly marked.

Look, I’m just a guy who’s been designing kitchens for 30 years. I’m not Facebook, Google, or some mega-corporation harvesting data. When you give me your information, it goes into my business system, I use it to help you get beautiful cabinets at fair prices, and that’s it. No algorithms, no data mining, no creepy tracking.

Your privacy matters to me because MY privacy matters to me. I wouldn’t want someone selling my information, so I don’t sell yours. It’s that simple.
